How can I help you achieve your business goals?
I have a "Cradle to Cradle" philosophy—I don't just worry about what happens when the design piece has outlived its usefulness, but I like to plan for how it will be used again.
Web Design and Development
Web design seems pretty harmless; there's no physical materials created. However, web sites still need electricity to run, and the majority of power used is on the server end.
You always have the option to host you web site with any hosting company, but I highly recommend hosting with a "green" host—a company that uses green energy to power their data centre, like HostPapa.ca, a very good hosting company powered by clean energy.
I also offer the option of buying high-quality, certified carbon offset credits to offset your personal power usage.
Print Design
I use multiple strategies to cut down on waste and environmental impact:
Dave Walker Design offers full service Web Design and Graphic Design services, and I specialize in projects and clients that have a positive impact on our society and planet.
Even if you don't consider your company to be particularly green or eco-friendly, I use techniques and services that minimize impact, achieveing a level of "greenness" in your business.
If you want to increase you eco-friendliness and reduce your footprint, call me (403.510.4753) and we can chat about things you can do to go green.
